Each sister and their children are put on rotation of kitchen duties so that we can establish some work ethnic around here. Children help cook, but they should NOT cook without the proper supervision of an adult.

Who is responsible for keeping the kitchen clean?
Well no one person should be depended on to keep the kitchen clean, everyone in the house participates!
We go by groups of sisters and their kids.

So how does the rotation of kitchen duty works at the SSH? Should we pick the teams, let the sisters pick the teams, or should we draw names. I was thinking if we draw names that should get sisters familiar with working with other sisters so they can get to know each other while cleaning. If you are put towards people you know, that's okay, but what if you don't get along with a sister or a sister is shy, we want each and every sister to not play faves with each other and get to know different sisters by engaging in house work together.

We take pride in keeping our home clean free of filth, bad odors, trash, critters and things that either need replacing, fixing, or removing uneccessary stuff altogether and this goes for every other room in the house too! You wouldn't want your sisters or yourself to eat in a dirty kitchen so keep it clean at all times, and every little helps when you pic up after yourself, clean up spills, etc, also sisters with kids should teach their kids these simple tips as well. Then again if you say it like that then what's the point if everyone cleans up after themselves what's left to clean? Lol.

Additional Info:

Recycle or Compost
Watch what you throw out from the refrigerator or after use because most things can either be recycled or composted. If you are not sure you can ask someone about whether or not an item can be recycled or composted. There will be a sign with more information in the kitchen with a recycling bin and the compost bin will be outside in the back.

Leftovers

Here at the SSH we love to eat and share our food since it's a good crowd of people we share in the blessings of all the different types of foods that come within the house!
ATTENTION ALL CHEFS! If you end up with leftover food and it is still good please put it in a container and place in the fridge. If you want to save some for later place it in the freezer for freshness so when you take it out you save time in cooking, you just need to heat it up.

Beauty

Some fruits and veggies can also be stored for later by canning or freezing or used as beauty or hair products. So if say like a tomatoe that you know nobody is going to use or you have asked permission to use it you can use the tomatoe as a face cleanser to fight away acne and tighten your face.
